마가복음 12장 35-37절 (기독교는 재미가 있는가 없는가?)

제가 아는 분이 이렇게 아들의 신앙을 고민을 합니다.  그 아들은 세상이 너무 재미있다고 합니다.  세상에서 행복하게 크게 성공해야한다고 합니다.  그러나 그 아들은 예수님을 믿을 수도 없고 믿지 않을 수도 없다고 합니다.  그 아들은 기독교는 하나도 재미 없는 종교라고 합니다.  그저 할수 없어서 믿는다고 합니다.

제가 그 분에게 당신의 아들은 매우 정상입니다.  예수를 제대로 믿으면 그렇게 됩니다라고 했습니다.

예수님은 혈통으로는 다윗의 자손입니다.  성경은 예수님이 사람의 아들, 다윗의 자손을 강조합니다.  유대인들에게 다윗의 자손은 히브리어로 메시야입니다.  헬라어로 그리스도입니다.

당시의 메시야, 그리스도는 현실 구원입니다.  이 세상에 하나님의 나라를 도랴하게 하여 유대인들의 슬픔과 고난을 해결하는 자가 메시야, 그리스도입니다.  제자들은 항상 예수님에게 언제 하나님의 나라가 이 땅에 도래 할 것인가를 질문합니다.  예수님이 현실의 문제 해결자, 메시야, 그리스도이기 때문입니다.

이 세상의 모든 종교의 시작은 바로 여기에서 시작합니다.  현세구복입니다.

종교가 현세구복으로 흐르면 전통적 문화와 습관과 결탁합니다.  예수님이 예루살렘에 입성 할 때에 백성들의 환호는 현실 문제 해결자의 등장입니다.  예수님을 오해하는 것입니다.  로마를 물리치고 새로운 나라의 도래입니다.  그들은 예수님의 십자가의 죽음은 상상 할 수도 없습니다.

또한 종교가 현세구복의 방향으로 가면 개인적 체험이 중요해집니다.  신비적 요소가 가미됩니다.  모든 종교에는 개인적 체험과 신비적 요소가 있습니다.  그러나 이러한 신비와 체험이 공동체적인 것을 파괴합니다.  종교가 지극히 사적인 체험으로 전락하게 됩니다.  그 결과 이러한 체험과 경험을 하는 자들이 우위를 갖고 이러한 체험과 경험이 없으면 열등한 위치로 생각하게 됩니다.

이 과정에서는 재미가 있습니다.

그러나 예수님은 종교가 현세구복으로 머누는 것을 절대적으로 반대하십니다.  예수님은 십자가에서 인간으로 죽으십니다.  사람으로 십자가의 고난과 죽음을 당합니다.  우리도 십자가에 죽으면 예수님과 똑같이 죽게 될 것입니다.  예수님은 나와 같은 사람으로 죽습니다.

이것이 예수님이 종교를 파괴하시는 것입니다.  기독교는 시작은 현세구복적 요소가 있지만 정점에 가면 현세구복이 아닙니다.

이 과정을 이해하지 못하면 기독교는 매우 고통스러운 종교입니다.  우리들이 예수님을 믿어도 세상에서 아무런 도움이 되지 않습니다.  우리 신앙의 정점은 십자가의 죽음입니다.  우리도 십자가의 길을 갑니다.  죽음을 선택합니다.

그럼으로 기독교는 하나도 재미 없습니다.

그러나 반전이 있습니다.  죽으면 부활합니다.  그럼으로 본문에서 다윗이 메시야에게 하나님이라고 합니다.  예수님은 하나님의 아들, 하나님이십니다.

우리는 오늘도 십자가의 길을 가면 부활합니다.  포기하면 얻습니다.  인내하면 새로운 세상이 나타납니다.  당하면 위로가 찾아옵니다.  낮아지면 높아짐을 알게 됩니다.  무지하지만 지혜가 나타납니다.  하나님의 손길을 매사에 체험하게 됩니다.  죽음에서 부활은 하나님의 능력이 나타나기 때문입니다.

이것이 신앙입니다.  이러한 세계가 오늘도 우리에게 주어지고 있습니다.  우리의 현세구복은 세상의 모든 종교와 완전히 다릅니다.  우리의 현세구복은 십자가 다음에 찾아옵니다.

이 과정이 되면 기독교는 재미를 초월합니다.

제가 처음에 말한 그 아들이 정상입니다.  우리는 이러한 고민을 하고 신앙 생활해야합니다.
